If you are a facilitator, it is likely that at some point you will work with clients who have lived through trauma. Working with a trauma-informed approach will ensure that you meet the client where they are with the intent not to traumatize or re-trigger their experiences. Understanding the fundamentals of trauma-informed facilitation can improve the way you hold space for individuals and groups; providing a safe experience for recovery, reclamation, and transformation.

Psychology, neurophysiology, interpersonal neurobiology, fragmentation, and disassociation

Manifestations of the four threat response and how to respond

Harnessing the power of relationship dynamic to cultivate change

Different kinds of resistance and resolution strategies

How to address someone who is ‘split’ (fragmented)

Identifying charge, containing the client, tools for association vs disassociation

How to look out for triggers, shutdowns and transference, balancing the field of resonance, reaching in for participation

 

Who is this training for?

This training is for facilitators/coaches, who would like to equip themselves with skills to effectively work with individuals and groups who have gone through trauma. Advanced levels are available on parts therapy, somatic therapy, and group facilitation available on request.
